Ruby Bridges Book

Ruby Bridges Book

Home > Curriculum  > Teaching & Learning > Ruby Bridges Book

St. Matthias are incredibly proud to present to the world the Ruby Bridges Book!

This published book, which came about as a result of a whole school writing/collage task, allowed every child in school to become an author and illustrator.

Our story centres around the inspirational life of a young girl during the desegregation crisis in New Orleans, America in the 1960s.

This video was shared with all 8 Primary Advantage schools at the Hackney Picturehouse, where a copy of the book was given to each headteacher with a dedication from the children. It was also on sale at school, in Hackney Pirates and online, which we were so proud of!
