Community is at the heart of our school!
Community is at the heart of our school!
Our community events are designed to be welcoming, practical and inclusive — bringing families into school life, strengthening relationships, and giving you simple ways to support your child’s learning and wellbeing at home.
Whether you can pop in for 20 minutes or stay for the whole session, you are always welcome.
Every Friday morning, families are invited in to read with their child.
This is a relaxed opportunity to:
share books and stories together
see reading routines in action
build your child’s confidence and love of reading
Staff are on hand to recommend books, share quick reading tips, and celebrate progress.
Every Thursday morning we host a coffee morning with a different theme each week.
Themes may include:
wellbeing and stress management
behaviour and emotional regulation
SEND support and advice
online safety
attendance and routines
speech, language and communication
preparing for transitions
Sometimes we welcome visitors from local services and community groups to offer advice and signposting.
On Mondays we run practical workshops to help families support learning at home.
These sessions are friendly, no-judgement and hands-on — with strategies you can use straight away, such as:
early reading and phonics routines
comprehension and “book talk”
number sense and core maths skills
games you can play at home to build fluency and confidence
Each October we celebrate Black History Month through learning, storytelling, art, music and community reflection. Families are invited to join events that honour heritage, identity and voice, and to celebrate the richness of our diverse school community.
A joyful festive highlight where children share performances and families come together to celebrate the season.
A spring celebration featuring performances and class showcases that bring learning to life.
A chance to reflect on the year, celebrate achievements, and mark transitions — especially for children moving on to a new phase.
Look out for dates on our newsletter and class communications
