School Council

Over the past academic year, St Matthias’ School Council has tried to make the school an even happier place for children to learn and to build relationships. We have tried out hardest to speak to our own classes about things that they want to improve or develop, and have then discussed these ideas as a group. So far, the School Council has ensured children have more equipment during playtime; appointed Friendship Monitors to make the playground even friendlier; started a new Fitness Club; asked all classes to have a Worry Box and asked for healthier food for lunchtimes, among other things. We are still taking lots of ideas from pupils so that we can make the school even better!
